Shoebox Campaign

St. Dominic’s Conquest & Challenge Club will be working toward making a difference in the lives of the needy and less fortunate in preparation for Advent. We’re asking families to donate a shoe box filled with items of $20 value to be distributed to the poor living on the streets of Hamilton.

Reuse a shoe box or purchase a box (shoe box sized) from your local dollar store. Boxes should not cost any more than $20. Wrap it in Christmas gift wrapping. You may wish to include a $10 Tim Hortons gift card and a handwritten letter or card with a special Christmas or season greeting.

Some suggested items for the shoebox include but not limited to the following (items are for adults):

  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Chocolates
  • Gloves
  • Prayer card

The Mission Walk will take place Saturday November 27th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.

Please meet at St. Mary’s Parish located at 23 Sheaffe St, Hamilton, ON L8R 2N7

You may also contact our Youth Minister at michael@saintdominic.ca through the Parish Office. If you cannot attend the mission walk in November, shoeboxes may be dropped off at the parish by November 26, 2021. Thank you for your generosity!
