Holy Thursday

On Holy Thursday we remember the beginning of Jesus’ passion.

We recall Jesus washing the apostles’ feet, the institution of the Eucharist, the institution of the priesthood, and the Last Supper – where Jesus offers Himself as the Passover sacrifice, a sacrifice which concludes on the cross. Jesus will conclude the Passover sacrifice on the cross when He drinks the fourth cup of the Jewish Passover ritual.

At the end of the Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is solemnly processed to the chapel. *Jesus goes into the garden of Gethsemane and agonizes over His upcoming death* (Mt. 26:40) and all leave quietly.

You can adore our eucharistic Lord after Mass in the chapel. We will wait with Him in silent prayer for an hour and end with evening prayer at 9:45
